Holocaust world war 2 Survivor Zew Budansky testimony coupled with real time historical testimony from Gaza holocaust world war 3
Zew Budansky was 18 years old when the German army reached Rovno, 400 kilometers east of Krakow Poland in 1941. The German army was 8 kilometers from the city as he begged his mother and father to flee which they replied “what will they do to us, we have our furniture here”. He fled with a small group of young Jewish men including his cousin alongside with the Soviet’s as the army retreated into Ukraine toward Russia. All of the boys were crying and telling each other that they have no chance to go back unless they’re giving themselves up to the Germans because they knew the Jewish are taken to concentration camps. They came to a military point and were trained by the soviet army. Zew became an officer for a Jewish division of the Red army and they were put on military trains to go to the front line. It was very frightening all of the shooting, the Germans attacked very very hard but God was with Zew. He learned how to operate a battle tank better than anyone else and gained the love of the higher ranks in an epic battle with a German SS division. His major was killed, the colonel killed, straight away many lieutenants killed and everyone agreed for Zew to take command of the 160 tanks. His task was to break out of the encirclement, he lost a lot but he came out of it. Zew’s tank division was a special division, a breakthrough division. Then the Germans reached Stalingrad and Moscow. When it was somewhere bad on a front line they always pushed the Jewish tank division under Zew’s command. He was all the time successful that’s why the high command always sent them. 22 times his tank was burning and he was the luckiest to get out of the tank when everyone else was dying. Thousands of Jewish youth died around him. He was proud that he killed so many Germans. He saw how many he killed because he took them as prisoners of war and executed them all after interrogations about their recent history in the battlefield to where they had been and under which commanding officers. He himself interviewed thousands of Waffen-SS Stormtrooper officers of the German army. All of the ss were interviewed and then went into the bushes, boom boom boom boom. There was no court and no giving them food. The prisoners of war who were not officers of the ss were put on transports to Siberia to work in the concentration camps of Russia. He met an especially significant enemy as a prisoner of war, a 36 year old whose rank and recent combat history was confessed he demanded the home address of his wife and 2 children before he executed the man. He made a side trip in Germany after the liberation of Berlin to the address of this SS officer to shoot dead the wife at the kitchen table. Saying “that’s for my mother, that’s for my father, that’s for my grandfather, blood for blood”.
During the liberation of the ghetto’s in Poland and the concentration camps. He told the Jewish people in Yiddish “I’m a Jew. Forget it. The Germans will never come again. No chance anymore.” His combat group of Jewish officers chased the German guards fleeing from the barracks to catch them because they were thinking that they will get out of it.
Zew’s battle tank group reached Berlin in the liberation of Germany May 1945 where they meet and celebrated with the American army. In Berlin he discovered that most all of the Russian Red army battle front was composed of Jewish officers and that from different divisions were an unbelievable amount of Jewish soldiers in Berlin who are the liberators. Jewish captains, Jewish majors, Jewish colonels, Jewish generals of the Red army are the first soldiers at the liberation of Berlin. When they took berlin there was a word from Stalin “you can take all of Berlin and send it to Russia”. We hunted all the officers and liquidated many many homes, we took goods and took the apartments, we emptied out the shops. 5 months he was with the military police in Berlin.
He came home to Rovno crying, I ask you tell me where is my family and they said don’t take it hard, your family is lying with our families, I take you there, the graves are still not covered. To see the open graves of my people lying between the Jewish people and not to know where they are. He said all the good people, the best of us went by Hitler. When you’re making butter and it comes clean, the good butter, the better ones, the best people in Poland went out, they were killed. For the first 10 years he got nightmares but now the nightmares are endless, they come all the time. Every second night comes to him his family in a dream and he see’s the people dying and all the people what we went through. He see’s them on the street dying in the dreams, he see’s when he went to fight in the dreams, when he was only one second before the Germans catch him and his tank is burning, his comrades are running.
Where was God when we went in. Where was God when we went out. The only way to hold on all of us we must keep our faith.
