Holocaust world war 2 Survivor Hans-Georg Borck testimony coupled with real time historical testimony from Gaza holocaust world war 3
Hans-Georg Borck joined Hitler’s Youth when he was 10 years old. He quickly became a group leader at 14 years old and then a platoon leader when he was 16 years old. My mother had no expectation of me other than that I should be in leadership. As a child I always had trouble with language, reading and spelling. The war broke out in 1939 I joined the military immediately, I always wanted to be a pioneer. My father had strong connections with the military academy in his hometown and I always saw my strength in that field. I joined 4th Panzer division and went in the first advance into Russia summer 1941. I briefly returned to Germany for officers training, I became a sergeant and a lieutenant in one day then was released to the reserve unit. The reserve unit was composed of a generation of officers who already had been soldiers for 3 years and took him under their wing to teach him everything. I rose in ranks to platoon commander and then I was given my first task to destroy 4 Russian tanks. Russia introduced the T34 a superior tank that our tanks couldn’t destroy and the front lines stalled. The colonel who led our combat group came to my armored personnel carrier and said “this is a job for you, a 19 year old, the tanks that are up there”, he went with me and we put the landmine under the first tank turret. I went back again for the second tank with another man and because of that I got the First Class Medal, two sleeve stripes. I was promoted immediately to Company commander of an armored engineer company which I led to the end of my service.
