Holocaust world war 2 Survivor Waffen-SS storm trooper Rochus Misch testimony coupled with real time historical testimony from Gaza holocaust world war 3
Rochus Misch, holocaust survivor of Altschalkendorf, Germany. My father was wounded in world war one and died. My mother died when I was 2 years old, people told me my mother wanted to join him. My grandparents raised me, my grandfather worked on constructing canals, he did excavations. I was an excellent marksman. My aunt gave me tickets to the Olympics in Berlin, and arranged that I could get in his vicinity when Hitler came, the people celebrated. I went to school to be a master craftsman. I drew plans for houses in a summer colony, I painted advertisements. When I was 20 years old I had to report for duty. I came to Berlin, they had secretly established 3 regiments who then from these service troops the Waffen-SS was formed. We were deployed close to Vienna, we moved a lot in the Polish countryside. One day an adjutant of the Fuhrer came to the battalion commander and recommended me. I went to the Fuhrer’s living quarters. The chief adjutant had me bring newspapers, cables, he was designated as a messenger. Hitler opened the door and said, where does this young man come from? I answered Silesia. He gave me a paper for his sister to take to Vienna. 20 of us our duty was to accompany Hitler as he is going, bodyguards, and to act also as couriers. We were Hitler’s personal entourage. 2 radio operators stayed all day, reports came continuously, this would be sorted in a summary and bring to Hitler. When he finished he tore it and it was destroyed. We always were close to him day and night. I learned about all the reversals of the units. I heard all the arguments between Hitler and the army chiefs of staff. The failure at the front, the collapse of the fronts at Stalingrad. Russians arrived very quickly to the Oder river, to Berlin’s border, all the others were leaving. I went down into the bunker, Hitler was wrapped in a blanket. General Krebs was on the phone with the Russians. The remaining officers divided into groups and they were all gone. Doctor Goebbels said, you can come along with me, they’re all gathering in that direction. We went through the subway under the Spree river then split into groups. We were caught on the streets and taken to Moscow for 3 years, then Siberia. I came home December 1953. I went to Munich to the director of Mercedes and doctor Porche too, they introduced me to the finance minister Schaefer and he made it possible to get 7 million of reconstruction money to buy a business.
