Holocaust world war 2 Survivor Arie Johannes Simonis testimony coupled with real time historical testimony from Gaza holocaust world war 3
Arie Simonis, holocaust survivor of Rotterdam, Netherlands. My
family was from the protestant church, my family was altogether opposed to
militarism. I became a Jehovah’s witness when I was 23 years old, I was a zealous
reader. I could organize small groups of Witnesses to come together. The bible
study meetings we used the Watchtower brochures, which were forbidden.
Addresses were secret, we do not come at the same time we come one after the
other, in the house were 100 brothers and sisters. I was supplying the
literature the Witnesses were using. Each brother was known by his number not
his name, then I would know what number person needs which brochure, I would
supply. We expose the churches and governments, we oppose the Nazi regime. We
taught people the kingdom of God. At the time the gestapo came to my house I
was not home, there was another woman living at my house. They found the secret
entrance to the room with the literature. When I came home they were awaiting
me, I was arrested with my wife, my father and my twin brother. I saw a cellar
window was not locked so I pushed it open and ran away. I went to an isolated
address, a literature depot. I got instructions to organize bible studies in another
city, I moved on near Amsterdam. For a long time Nazi did not find the printer of
the brochures, we could print a lot of literature and stack it up in these
depots. I went from house to house staying with families. After the war we went
back to Rotterdam, my father and brother survived the concentration camps.
