Holocaust world war 2 Survivor Mieczyslaw Madejski testimony coupled with real time historical testimony from Gaza holocaust world war 3
Mieczyslaw Madejski, holocaust survivor of Warsaw, Poland. My
father was an architect, he built houses. When the war started I was 16 years
old. I drove the water truck to stop the fires when the German air force bombed
the city. I met friends with connections to the Polish underground. I went on
many actions with the Armia Krajowa to sabotage the German railways. My
organization helped the Jews in Warsaw ghetto by supplying as much as we can.
During the Warsaw ghetto uprising my group went on a coordinated mission with
other groups on the orders of the AK, underground polish army, to liberate the
prisons. We set many Jews free from the prisons of Warsaw during the uprising.
We crawled through the sewer system to get from the prison to the city center.
My group was struck with a bombing inside a house, I alone survived, I was
found in the rubble of the building, they dug me out and evacuated me from the
city. After the Russians liberated Warsaw I worked for the Polish underground
to be the driver for the general priest of the army for one year then I was
able to return to my education in engineering.
