Quran 2:204-206 Men who dazzle you with speech about the
life of this world his heart is the most full of contention and animosity He
turns his back with the aim of mischief, to destroy the earth’s crops and
cattle He cannot repent he is led by arrogance to a bed of evil hell
Men of contention and animosity use speech to bedazzle and seduce
Who speaks to delude you destroys the food supply behind your back
Whomever aims to destroy the crops and cattle, he makes his bed in hell
Quran 2:207-210 A man who gives his life to earn the
pleasure of God, God is kind to whom is devoted Enter Islam with your heart and
don’t follow the footsteps of evil who is avowed with animosity If you
backslide, wait for God to every question answered by signs
God gives kindness to men who give their life in their
devotion
Let Islam reside in your heart and don’t follow the footsteps of evil

Quran 2:213,214 God sent the truth in a book to judge the
matters which people differ among themselves Although mankind is a single
nation some unreasonably reject obvious signs The people who lived before you
had harsh trials, each man must strive if his dwelling will be enriched
Mankind is an interconnected life system
Truth can guide the matters of difference between people
Each generation of man must strive against adversity in the environment
A man should strive and his dwelling space will be enriched
Quran 2:215,216 Spend in charity whatever is good for
parents, kindred, orphans, wayfarers, all of that is goodness which you do
Fighting is prescribed though you dislike it, this is good for you to love a
bad thing
To family, orphans, wayfarers all is good what you do in
charity for them
Fight when it is good for you to do even if you dislike dreadful adversity
Quran 2:217 Fight in Ramadan is an offense but worse than
that is those who cut off access to the mosque and drive out its members, this
is tumult, oppression worse than slaughter They will not cease until you turn
away from faith in God, they will work fruitlessly in this world, humiliation
will consume them
Worse than fighting in Ramadan is to cut people off from
the mosque
Some men never cease to provoke others into faithlessness in God
Men who have no faith in God work fruitlessly in humiliation that will consume
them
Quran 2:218,219 Men who suffered exile and fought to be
faithful to God will have hope, forgiveness, mercy from God Wine and gambling
their sin outweighs the benefits of them Spend what is beyond your needs that
you have possession of, in this way God put obvious signs for you to consider
God will send hope to those who suffer exile fighting to
keep their faith in God
The benefit of wine or gambling is outweighed by the negative aspects of them
What you have beyond your needs, spend it in consideration of God’s obvious
signs
