Quran Surah 2 Al Baqarah Ayat 165-175

Quran 2:165 Some men love to worship things other than God Those who trust God are overflowing with love for God Those who despise God cannot see that all the power belongs to God they thought they would never be punished for wrongdoing

If you trust God your love will become overflowing
Men defiant of doing what is right think punishment for wrongdoing can’t reach them

Quran 2:166,167 Leaders will rebuke their own followers Men never cease seeking to reverse the penalty when all relations between them are cut off God shows men how they have burned themselves with their own wrongdoings
A bad leader wishes to fool his own followers
Loss of relations causes torment to men
A man’s wrongdoing cuts himself off from relations, he burned his bridges

Quran 2:168-170 Don’t consume flesh in obscenity nor cannibalize because you will become enemy of yourself Their fathers are voided of guidance and intelligence yet the sons follow him in his perverse urges to say without knowledge

A cannibal is an enemy of himself and everyone
A perverse man is compelled to say without knowledge because he is voided of guidance
Sons rarely escape the deep corruption of their fathers

Quran 2:171-173 Those who reject God are void of wisdom, if you were to shout at them they are like goats who listen to nothing Be grateful to God for everything good you have eaten Don’t consume food which others have cursed upon unless by necessity and with humility

Those who defy God can’t listen to reason
Eating good food is an opportunity for feeling gratefulness and honorability toward God
Never eat what is cursed unless it is to save yourself necessarily

Quran 2: 174,175 They are eating their own humiliation if they conceal against what is revealed in the Quran, the price of doing it is their own grief and the absence of purification for them Instead of knowledge they choose the error and get with it a torment instead of forgiveness

The price of withholding oneself from his knowledge is his own grief
A man humiliates himself when he digests something bad for him
A man who makes a contest of concealment what the Quran reveals is humiliating himself
Concealment of knowledge would prevent the purification of a man
A man who chooses error is a torment to himself through his errors
Forgiveness can be found through seeking knowledge
