Quran 2 Surah Al Baqarah Ayat 190-203

 Quran 2:190,191 Fight who fights you within limits, do not transgress in the way of God Where you catch them slay them or turn them out as they turned you out Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter Such is the reward of those who oppress faith Avoid war in holy places and grounds

When you fight others, do not break moral standings
If someone turned you out of your home slay him, oppression is a worse mentality than slaughter
Turn others out as they turn you out, tumult is worse mentality than slaughter
Where you catch those who oppress faith, slay him
Avoid that holy grounds and holy places should be battlefields

Quran 2:192,193 If they cease to turn you out from your home then God is forgiving, if they cease let there be no hostility Except those who practice oppression Fight them until there is no tumult and oppression, faith in God prevails with justice

If a people ceases to turn you out of your home you should relinquish hostilities against them
If a people practice oppression fight them until you stop them
Faith in God prevails alongside justice

 

Quran 2:194,195 If anyone transgresses the prohibition of war in the holy month then likewise go against him in the law of equality God is with whoever restrain himself while spending of his substance in the cause of God let not your own hands contribute destruction God loves who does good

If someone makes war against you in the holy month, prepare war equally
Restrain yourselves but equally spend your substance in the cause of God
Don’t contribute in destruction, God loves who does good

 

Quran 2:196,197 Complete the pilgrimage for never more than 10 days long or send an offering, when its received, shave the hair If hair cannot be sacrificed then sacrifice something in place of it, feed the poor, or fast The month of pilgrimage the best provision is right conduct Let be no obscenity, wickedness, nor wrangling

The pilgrimage is best done not longer than 10 days
Send in the place of shaving hair another sacrifice, feed the poor, or fast
The best provision in pilgrimage is ones personal conduct
Let pilgrimage be a time free from obscenities, wickedness, wrangling

Quran 2:198-200 It is no crime if you seek bounty in the time of pilgrimage, when you are returning from Mount Arafat celebrate at the stoning of the devil even though before this you went astray Pass on from the place at a quick pace After the holy rites celebrate God as a father, with heart and soul

There is no transgression of seeking abundance in the pilgrimage
Celebrate the stoning of the devil even if yourself have gone astray
Pass on at a quick pace after the holy rites
Celebrate with heart and soul of God as if he were your father

 

Quran 2: 201-203 Men ask for the good of the world They will be allotted what they have earned and the earnings are quickly accounted If anyone leaves early or late from pilgrimage there is no blame if he intends it for goodness sake It is better to fear a missed opportunity to do good deeds

Strive to earn the good of the world
What you work towards will come to you
Leaving early or late from pilgrimage is blameless when it is for the sake of good
It is better to do good deeds than to let the opportunity pass by
