Quran Surah 2 Al Baqarah Ayat 272-286

Quran 2:272,273 It is not made for anyone to set another on the right path, good you give is for your own soul and will be rendered back that you do not be dealt with unjustly When those in Gods cause are restricted and need support give generously to them, they are modest in requesting charity

One man is not made to set another on the right path, his good work is for his own soul
Your good work will render back to you justice when you are in need
When in God’s cause another needs support generously give it
When those in God’s cause become restricted they are modest in asking for the needed help

Quran 2:274-276 Those who devour usury are driven to madness through their evilness, those who do not desist burn themselves, God deprives it of growth because of its ungrateful wickedness God gives increase for deeds of charity

Giving a loan for profitmaking from the borrower is evil
A man who does not desist from usury drives himself to a place beyond reason
Usury is a burning humiliation for the soul of a man
God deprives ungrateful wickedness from growth

Quran 2:277-279 No fear or grief will come upon those who with a faithful heart do good deeds in the cause of God and establish regular prayers and charity Give up what remains of your demand for usury if your heart is faithful to God Take notice of war in the cause of God for capitalization Deal not unjustly that you do not get injustice

Fear and grief are erased through doing heartfelt good deeds
Fear and grief are eased through prayer and charity
Relinquish usury so that your heart can be faithful to God
Capitalize through acknowledgement of wars in the cause of God

Quran 2:280-282 If a debtor is in difficulty grant him the time until it is easy for him to remit but charity is better Every soul will be paid for what it earned Let transactions involving obligations of fixed times to be written faithfully between them Dictate or give two witness of your own men

Charity is better than loaning toward the debtor in difficulty
A soul is rewarded according to its efforts
Promises involving your wealth should be written or dictated to witnesses

Quran 2:283,284 If you cannot write it make a pledge to a trustee whenever one of you deposits a thing on trust with another Whomever conceals evidence his heart is tainted Whether you show what is in your mind or conceal it God calls you to account for it, forgives and punishes

Pledge to a trustee in trust for transactions in trade of what one person deposits to another
Only a tainted heart would conceal the evidence of things in trust
Whether concealed or shown you are called to account for what is in your mind

Quran 2:285,286 Men with faithful hearts follow along with what is being revealed while others make no distinction between one and another of the messengers On no soul is responsibility for more than it can bear, a soul shall not be condemned for forgetting or falling into error

There are distinctions to learn between one and another of the messengers
The soul cannot be condemned for errors and forgetfulness
